During a client meeting, we were discussing an organizational dashboard for accountability purposes. It had been created, but he was having a difficult time figuring out when to implement it, as “there never seems to be a good time to launch it.” He was also worried about tracking the wrong numbers.
That opened the door to one of my favorite conversations with business owners.
I asked him: What if you approached this implementation differently?
Too often, we get stuck in rigid, dogmatic thinking—believing there’s only one way forward and only one right outcome. But life and business are rarely that predictable.
